This is how I feel my hair looks after I shampoo it:

Floofy Clean Lion

Got some 80’s hair goin’ there, little lion!

I haven’t been posting my inktober drawings so much because I’m working on moving my blog over to a self hosted blog. Hopefully it will be up soon and all of my subscribers will be transferred over and all that good stuff. I just want to get back to blogging like normal and the process (for me) seems difficult.
I did manage to make a drawing for today though 😀
lion bird
I call it a lion bird because its silly looking, the gryphon’s goofy cousin! I could never imagine this thing hunting something to eat… its just way too funny and happy.

Inktober is back this year! For those of you who were around when I last participated in this art event, you know what it means.

To be clear: I’m going to try to make a drawing a day in ink for the whole month of October! I love the fact that I don’t have to color anything and I feel encouraged to practice drawing knowing that there are many others who are also participating : )

So here it is: The Dandy Lion !

Its petals sparkle in the morning dew, now that is fine and dandy.

The lion which has petals for a mane, never needs to buy shampoo. It also has unusually sweet breath… like flowers… Mmm.

inktober-1-dandy-lion-31A side view, what does a dandy lion eat?

inktober-1-dandy-lion-21Its a sad time when the petal mane falls off and it becomes a normal lion… FOREVER! Oh no!

Thanks to all of my readers / fellow bloggers for providing feedback on my posts, it would be awfully lonely on my blog without you!

Here are my top 3 most viewed posts over the years:

#1: “How to make an origami dragon with wings

A step by step picture tutorial on how to fold a gigantic origami dragon like the one below. I taped several newspaper pages together to get a piece of paper large enough to make this big guy.

For anyone who learns better from video instructions, I made an easier to follow tutorial on how to fold the origami dragon. This time it is a small one.

#2: My Tuxedo Cats Doing “The Ugly Dance”

Who doesn’t like to see people with cats heads in business suits doing a funny dance?! I don’t think we had adopted Lisa when I posted this… Maybe a Lisa dancer is coming our way?

#3: “Inktober 29th- Winged Lion

One of my Inktober drawings, yay! I want to do a drawing per day again in October this year but I’m not the most consistent person on Earth. We will see what happens : )

Ah, memories!

Its shocking how fast time has passed since I’ve been blogging. I started sometime in 2012 with no idea what I would blog about, besides cats and maybe drawings.

NG TY
Nice Guy is now an old man cat, at 11 years old! He is still as handsome as ever though.

I didn’t know if I could keep blogging over such a course of time, for lack of anything interesting to write about. Good thing life is always throwing different things at me to keep things interesting!

KYO TY
Whew, all this blogging stuff has got Kyoko tired out. (he is now 4 years old, by the way.)

Lisa TY
Lisa strikes a pose, who knows how old she is since we adopted her as an adult?

Thats all I have for this post, hope it was enjoyable… If anyone wants to share what they think my best post so far was and why, I’d enjoy some feedback : )

I just love drawing kitties with wings : )

Happy little griffins <3 Not too much more to say!
GriffonsKinda got in a hurry and forgot to do the details on the front feet!

I suppose these little winged kitties of mine would hatch out of an egg and find themselves in a great big strange place that they are compelled to explore!
Winged lion cubLooking back at all these drawings I’ve made nearly every day I feel as though October is a very long month. I wonder how I’ll feel after I’m not doing inktober doodles? Maybe I’ll keep on drawing or move on to another project? Who knows, only time will tell.

Things that seem impossible can sometimes be made possible by working together and trying your best.Unicorns crossingThe young unicorn jumps as far as it can to cross this canyon and the grown one uses whatever power it has to help lift it the rest of the way.

Inexperience shouldn’t be the death of our pursuit to better ourselves, with help from others who may know more than we do we can learn and grow to reach that same level or BEYOND!

Tonight I thought that I would try something different with my art. I drew the picture like usual.Unicorn under starsThen instead of doing my usual line shading for the background I cut out my drawing and then glued star shaped paper to a blank sheet and spray painted it black! After the spray paint dried I peeled off the stars and then taped on my drawing over the black, I really like how it turned out 😀

Just a side note: Please forgive the sillyness of my behind schedule posting, I post my art during the night and by the time I finish drawing and typing it is usually well past 12 midnight which makes it the next day even though I intended on posting this for the current day. I know it doesn’t really matter but I bet someone out there has noticed that I constantly appear to be a day behind.
