I was being annoying to Lisa because she was hounding me for dinner, and it wasn’t time yet. She surprised me by being incredibly tolerant and cute.
Needless to say, she got a bunch of kitty treats for being so nice.
I remember watching this show back when I was still in school, my dad always laughed really hard when we watched it together. I missed most of the jokes because I was too young to “get” the jokes and style of humor that it used. Plus, with my dad laughing that hard its hard to hear this show XD
Anyways, I drew the three main characters from this show. They are cute, even though they are robotic cats.
According to Wikipedia: “proper translations of the original Japanese episodes were either of poor quality or non-existent, so it was decided to write completely original dialogue for the English dub, playing the show as a wacky, Animaniacs-esque comedy in contrast to the less farcical original version.”
So when the show came across seas to the us English speaking people, the show was turned into a kind of parody Dub cartoon… I am curious now how the original cartoon plot goes and what the characters were really supposed to be like?
Its shedding season at my house and you know what that means:
The dreaded fur tornado has appeared! It is a swirl of irritation which follows every cat as they lose their summer coat in preparation for winter.
If you have been the victim of a furnado then you definitely know what I’m talking about. The itchy eyes and sniffly nose caused by this feat of nature.
The only known way to escape a furnado is to pass it on to someone else, which is why I keep a kitty comb/brush at my work station – a vain attempt to capture those kitty fibers as they try to pass off the furry flurry onto me!
The cats have found the catnip bush in the garden and Kyoko is the first to claim it as his own with great big Kyo-hugs.
His mood is soured when Lisa comes into the picture and wants some of that fragrant catnip for herself.
I wanted to have Kyoko’s kitten videos on my new channel so i did a remix and put new music over it.
I like revisiting old memories like how Nice Guy reacted when he was first harassed by kyoko, or how Kyoko played with literally EVERYTHING in sight. Including my pant leg, a bouncy ball and his old wooden brush.
He gets so wild about playing that he even bonks straight into a wall… oops. I believe all of this footage was from the first day we adopted Kyoko.
In June 2011 Kyoko was adopted from a local ad found on the internet for $20, we guessed that he was only about a month old.
Out of all the kitten ads we saw, he was the cutest little guy we could find.
We didn’t want to get a girl kitty, we needed another male kitty to keep our Mr. Nice Guy some company.
Kyoko was named after a city in Japan called Kyoto. It was also my name in Japanese class in highschool, it meant “today’s child”. Later we found out that Kyoko is really a girl’s name. He has a high pitched meow, so I guess that is okay!
He was always curious and watching what us people are doing, as though he will one day do what he sees us do.
He gave us long adoring looks, making direct eye contact… with such love!
He didn’t really like the idea of Kyoko coming to live in HIS home…
But he learned to tolerate him, as he tolerates most other things.
Just look at all of these cute ducks marching along to eat some grass!!!
I like the part where my singing doesn’t rhyme and they all stop and stare at me like “Um, ok we give it a 7 out of 10…”
