I’ve been reading about this little scaly creature called a Pangolin… they are incredible ant eating mammals who carry their young on their tail!
Its sad though, every time I google or youtube search to see more pictures of them there are so many results that are about how they are being poached and killed to be sold on the black market. :’ (
They seem so sweet and helpless, like all they want to do is roam around and eat ants with their sticky tongue.
Its shedding season at my house and you know what that means:
The dreaded fur tornado has appeared! It is a swirl of irritation which follows every cat as they lose their summer coat in preparation for winter.
If you have been the victim of a furnado then you definitely know what I’m talking about. The itchy eyes and sniffly nose caused by this feat of nature.
The only known way to escape a furnado is to pass it on to someone else, which is why I keep a kitty comb/brush at my work station – a vain attempt to capture those kitty fibers as they try to pass off the furry flurry onto me!
It seems like Mr. Nice Guy has been getting a lot of time in the spotlight, Time to draw Lisa and Kyoko!
Sometimes it seems like Lisa thinks she is getting recognition or praise when I talk to her about a thing that she is doing… such as sitting on my drawing paper! Its hard to be upset with Lisa because she just seems so innocent and playful.
Then there is our sweet boy Kyoko…
He often reminds me that his dish is empty, that he really wants me to feed him. Some of the looks he gives are so pitiful that he sometimes almost gets a second meal from another family member because they think he hasn’t been fed. But thats not all there is to his character, just one of the things he enjoys. Another favorite past time is lots and lots of cuddles and nose smears!
It was hard to choose which animal to draw next besides cats, of course. So I chose the puppy of the sea: A seal!
He says “What are you doing in the water, funny human? Did you bring me some fish?”
Every time I see a squirrel wandering around sniffing the ground and pausing I wonder if this is what they are thinking?
I know I would forget where I bury things, but I’m guessing survival and hunger are stronger motivators for remembering things. I just love their little fingers and bushy tails!
Lisa is such a sweet cat, but sometimes she is confusing. First she acts like she doesn’t want out, then she goes cat scratch crazy trying to dig open the door.
All for the sake of a nap on the patio.
Sometimes when Kyoko falls asleep he does the cutest whisker and paw twitches.
The cats have found the catnip bush in the garden and Kyoko is the first to claim it as his own with great big Kyo-hugs.
His mood is soured when Lisa comes into the picture and wants some of that fragrant catnip for herself.
Kyoko has a cute voice, how could I say no to him? Not to mention those eyes 😀
