Lisa is such a sweet cat, but sometimes she is confusing. First she acts like she doesn’t want out, then she goes cat scratch crazy trying to dig open the door.
All for the sake of a nap on the patio.

I really like this character I made, her name is “Uni” (for lack of anything better to call her).

She is a Unisus, otherwise known as an Alicorn. I think she is feeling down and the little birds want her to come fly with them.

Here is a still frame so you can see what the finished drawing will look like, just in case you are at work or someplace where you don’t want Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” blasting from your phone.

Uni and birds RESIZED

I saw a very interesting crawdad in the creek, it seemed to be somewhat blue. I really like their whiskers and pinchers 😀

I was walking to the store when I saw a little hopping bird near our apartment’s field, which was being mowed at the time. The chick was obviously very scared of the lawn mower and of me..

So I blocked the way to the nearby busy street (So it wouldn’t be hit by a car) and it hopped into a tree where we waited for momma/daddy bird to come to the rescue.

Maybe the little chick was trying to learn to fly when it was separated from its parent?

My Cherry Tomato and (regular?) Tomato plants are spoiled and get watered at least twice a day since it has been so hot during these summer months.

They wilted and were pouting for me to water them… even though I watered them earlier in the day.

See how they recover in this time lapse video after I watered them once again. The original duration of the video was 15 minutes.

I like to document a lot of things with pictures and video, I am often late in posting content… but I hope this will be enjoyable to any who decide to read 🙂

I planted my tomato and Cherry Tomato plants in mid February. They sprouted in my widow sill after about a week:

True leaves appeared after about another week!

Here they are on their first day outside (hardening off?) around March 13th.

During May we weren’t getting a ton of great sun yet and the plants seemed stunted to me… Then I realized that I had reused soil from the previous years and needed to fertilize the plants, Doh!

Back to being nice and green in June, also showing some nice growth Yay!

The vines got SUPER TALL! Flowers bloom and fruit is starting to grow around July 13th.

Now the tomato bushes make a great shade spot for the cats.

I got to watch a Great Blue Heron at the wetlands again, this time it seems to have caught something and ate it. If you watch closely you can even see it licking its beak.

I harvested some catnip leaves from our plant and air dried them for Mr. Nice Guy to enjoy.

Here is his reaction:

Here he is a bit later:

Quite content, as you can see : )
